How Do I Update (Add or Remove) Recipients?

A recipient in PostScan Mail is any individual, business, or entity authorized to receive mail at your virtual mailbox. This can include yourself, family members, business partners, employees, or a business name.

Each recipient must be properly authorized so PostScan Mail can legally receive and process mail on their behalf.

USPS Form 1583 Requirements

  • Adults and Businesses

Each adult recipient or business must submit their own USPS Form 1583.

  • Minors and Employees

Children under 18 and employees are listed under Section 12 of the primary USPS Form 1583 and do not need to submit a separate form.

  • Notarization

USPS Form 1583 is typically notarized. However, notarization may not be required if PostScan Mail, as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA), can verify the recipient’s identity in person or through approved verification methods.

This process ensures compliance with USPS regulations while allowing you to manage personal and business mail under a single account.
