Shipping Guidelines: What We Can’t Ship

At PostScan Mail, we want to ensure safe and compliant shipping for all our customers. Here’s a quick overview of prohibited items that we’re unable to ship.

  1. Hazardous Materials: This includes items like explosives, chemicals, paints, lighters, matches, perfumes, fuel, nail polish, and alcohol.
  2. Pressurized Containers: Cans containing pressurized liquids or gases cannot be shipped.
  3. Medication and Controlled Substances: We are unable to ship any medications, whether prescribed or over-the-counter, as well as veterinary medicines and controlled substances.
  4. Agricultural Goods: This category covers fertilizers, plants, seeds, and any type of tobacco products.
  5. Weapons and Accessories: We cannot ship weapons, weapon replicas, components, blades, ammunition, or electric discharge devices.
  6. Alcohol: We are unable to reship alcohol products as only licensed retailers and shippers may ship direct to consumers.
  7. High-Tech Equipment: Items such as lasers, metal detectors, high-end GPS devices, gambling equipment, lock picking tools, or encrypted storage devices are prohibited.
  8. Lithium Ion Batteries: These can only be shipped via Ground carriers, and please note that we limit shipments to one battery per order.

Handling Prohibited Items at PostScan Mail

If any items on our "Cannot Ship List" arrive at your PostScan Mail location, we can only manage them in the following ways:

  1. Return to Sender: We can return the item to the sender at your expense. To avoid charges, please contact the sender to obtain a Return Label. You can then attach that label file in your email reply to us. Please note that we only accept labels addressed with the original return address.
  2. Disposal: If you prefer, we can dispose of the item for you. Simply select the item in your inbox and create a request to have it recycled.
  3. Local Pickup: You can arrange to have the item picked up from your subscribed address. If you choose this option, ensure that the individual collecting the item is listed in the “Manage Recipients” section of your inbox settings. They will need to present a valid ID upon arrival, and the name on the ID must match the name in your account.
